Humane Society plans 'Bird Basics' seminar (Marin Independent Journal)
The Marin Humane Society will host a free "Bird Basics" seminar from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 17. Every year, thousands of birds are relinquished to shelters when frustrated bird owners discover that they don't have the proper skills or knowledge to care for them, Humane Society officials said.
